Statesboro Market2Go: The Market is OPEN! See our NEW products!
Welcome Berry Farms and Prosser Seafood! Many of you have asked for shrimp…and they are here!
Speaking of seafood…we had low country boil for dinner tonight, and apple dumplings for dessert. It was easy to prepare and DELICIOUS! I had lunch out at a local restaurant with our 21 year old son, and couldn’t believe I paid $21 for something that wasn’t even fitting to eat. I’ve found that Stacey and I can cook food that tastes better and is more healthy at home…and we love eating locally!
Some of you are already Christmas shopping with us. So many great gifts…t-shirts, market bags (I will add these tomorrow morning…I need to get a good picture of these nice bags!), local honey, grits, sugar cane syrup, gift bags, handmade grapevine wreaths, soaps, baked goods, books, seafood, meats, and so much more to select from. Who wouldn’t enjoy a great edible gift from the market? Or consider a gift certificate to the market!

SEE YOU ALL AT THE MARKET ON TUESDAY!
Gwinnett Locally Grown: Market is Open
We have a new vendor this week! Legacy Alpaca Farm has joined us and are offering both raw fiber and yarn for your weaving needs. They also have Felted soap. Terrill will be at the Market pickup on Tuesday showcasing some of her great items! Please stop in and say “Welcome”!
I realize that everyone is busy concentrating on the upcoming holidays. Just a reminder that Wilderness Family Natural Order has not yet been sent because I do not have the minimum to qualify for a Group Buy. Please check your pantry – Coconut Oil, Coconut flakes, Nuts, Freeze-dried berries and fruits, Cacao Nibs or Powder, Flours, Grains, Sprouting Seeds – just some of the items available! Please email me with order or call if you have questions. 404-432-4337 or email@example.com.
Need Fermented Cod Liver Oil? Green Pasture now has the X-FACTOR Butter Oil in stock. I also need a minimum to order and get out Group Buy great discount.
Eggs will now be provided on a Pre-pay basis. In order to ensure that I have eggs available, I have contracted with 2 farmers who have free-range chickens and receive some natural feed. With knowing exactly how many dozen eggs I need to provide, the contracts will allow me to meet everyone’s needs for eggs. They are still $4.50 per dozen. Cash or checks only and checks should be made out to Maryanne Vaeth. Please use envelopes in Milk Barn for payment. Keep in mind that with the holidays you may need/want additional eggs for baking – please indicate on your envelope what week you think that you will want more eggs so I can plan and have them for you. Please return egg cartons weekly. I will do my best to have a few dozen eggs available through the Market each week!
Pilar was kind to handle the Market pickup for me this past week – and I thank her for her time and care! I am down with pneumonia – recovering! So, I hope to see you all this Tuesday! Thank you for your continued support — it is appreciated and I enjoy serving you all! Have a wonderful week-end!
Now, hop on over to the Market and SHOP!
Local Farms First: The Market is Open! Apples Persist!
Greetings local food lovers!
The Market is Open!
Freshen up your winter diet with APPLES! They’re still on the market from Delicious Orchards and Ela Family Farms.
We’re so sorry about the delay in opening! The ORE/Local Farms First Staff made it halfway over Kebler returning from a meeting in Eagle to find it was closed. That means the Local Farms First route is now officially over Hwy 92! We’ll stay open a few hours Monday morning to compensate.
Thanks for supporting local family farms!

Suwanee Whole Life Co-op: Co-op News:Orobianco & FCLO new ordering
I’m excited to welcome Orobianco to our family of Growers & Producers!
Orobianco (in Italian means White Gold) is a new local company that produces fresh mozzarella cheese and other mozzarella creations. The cheese-maker Massimo was trained by one of the best Italian “casaro” (cheese-maker) in the NYC area and his mozzarella is simply delicious.
Orobianco is the brainchild of Maria Chiara Montanara and Massimo Romano. Maria comes from the region of Campania in Italy, where mozzarella was first made in the XII century. Massimo is orginally from Palermo, Sicily and has trained with two Italian “casari” (cheese makers) in Italy and New York.
I met Massimo this week and sampled many of his creations at their cheese shop in Snellville. He has a true passion for making cheese the traditional way and you can definitely taste it! The cheeses are fresh, milky, creamy and delicious.
The cheese curd from Orobianco is made from cow milk that does not contain any artificial ingredients, color additives or synthetic substances and is minimally processed so that it can be considered “natural” under FDA guidelines. Guaranteed GMO free. Cows are not treated with rBST or fed genetically engineered crops.
Look for their fresh handmade mozzarella creations in the Dairy section on the market website tomorrow!
Visit Orobianco’s Facebook page to see what others are saying about them: www.facebook.com/orobianco.us
