Palouse Grown Market:  Second week of PGM!

Hello Folks!

What an awesome opening week for Palouse Grown Market! The Vendors had such an array of colorful, fresh products, and the Members were diggin’ it! Thank you for supporting PGM with your orders!
The drop-point was lovely at the 1912 Center’s Outdoor Terrace with the sun shining after a few stormy days, and there are such wonderful, friendly, hard-working Vendors gracing us with their presence if there’s anything you forgot to order through PGM! It was a great time! I’m already excited for what next week will bring.

PGM is open as of this morning, until late Sunday night, so, enjoy!

Thank you,

Holly

A NOTE ABOUT PEACHES – Organic peaches do not have any synthetic fungicide or petroleum-based wax to extend their naturally short shelf-life. We deliver them slightly firm, and they soften extremely quickly, so prepare to eat or process them within about two days of delivery.

VENDOR OF THE DAY

VENDOR OF THE DAY – Keena’s Kake Designs – All natural Sweet Snacks

Join us this Saturday to welcome a new vendor to our market and sample some delicious treats….KKD makes all natural sweet snacks that are free of any artificial additives and made with organic sugar and non-GMO ingredients.

Keena’s Kake Designs was born from a love of making delicious, custom baked goods for my family and friends at an affordable price. It also evolved from my desire to provide my family with high quality natural and organic foods; come to find out, it’s not always easy to find sweets that do not contain artificial colors, preservatives and other additives. So, Fudgeez and Blondeez will always be all-natural, non-GMO, and made with organic cacao! We’re a snack company with integrity: if I wouldn’t feed it to my family, I won’t feed it to yours!

Upcoming Events Around Town

Back to Eden: Experiencing Healing & Life Through Food
JUNE 20, 2015 – 9-7pm

Calling all local, non-GMO, organic, humane farmers & livestock handlers! First Alliance Church in Atlanta (near Decatur) is hosting an all-day, one-day event as a community service to raise awareness of the need to get back to local, organic food sources and to equip the community with practical steps. We want to support local, non-GMO, organic, humane farmers/livestock handlers by giving them the opportunity to have free booths at this event (with or without produce on hand) so that the community can meet you. We are still looking for farmers, dairies, beekeepers, etc., so please spread the word! For details please see our website or call me, Margarita Szechenyi, directly at 678-200-9712.
(This event is not a farmers market, but you can bring produce to sell if you have a business/vendor license, or you can receive donations for your produce. You are also welcome to bring small animals from your farm for children to pet. We are very interested in supporting small, new farms, beekeepers, etc., so while bringing produce is encouraged, it is not a requirement.)
