Turnip "Hash Browns"

<p>Cubed, roasted turnips seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika and garlic. Delicious, lower carb substitute for potatoes.</p>Source: Patty (Entered by Patricia Donovan)
Serves: Serves 2-3 per bunch
4 medium Turnips
2 TBS bacon Fat, coconut oil or oil of choice
1 tsp sea saalt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 (or more) tsp paprika
1/2 (or more) tsp garlic granules or powder
Step by Step Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375F
- Wash turnips, remove leaves and roots. I don't peel them but you can.
- Slice, then cube turnips (I use a manual chopper)
- Place turnips, oil and all seasonings in bowl and mix well.
- Place in roasting pan in single layer and bake about 45 minutes (stir every 15 minutes) until soft but crispy on the outside. Alternately you can fry them.
