Source: From the Donvier Ice Cream recipe book (Entered by Shary Stadler)
Serves: One Quart

Ingredients
2 cups mashed pawpaws
2 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups cream

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Cut the pawpaws in half and scoop pulp out with a spoon, making sure not to get any skin. Remove the seeds and mash pulp.
  2. Beat egg and sugar until thick and cream colored.
  3. Add cream, pawpaws and vanilla. Mix well to blend.
  4. Use your favorite ice cream maker. We use a Donvier quart model, and it's fun to have everyone take a turn at cranking. Yummy!
