Beef Kofta Kebabs

4 cloves Garlic
1/2 cup Sweet onion (diced)
1/2 cup Fresh parsley leaves
2 large Leaves fresh mint
1 pound Ground beef
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Ground coriander
1 teaspoon Ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon Ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
pinch Cayenne pepper
Tzatziki sauce (for serving)
Bread (for serving) (preferably naan bread)
Additional chopped parsley (for serving)
Step by Step Instructions
- Put the garlic, onion, parsley, and mint in a food processor and blend until pureed. Pour this puree into a mixing bowl.
- Add the ground beef, salt, coriander, cumin, ginger, black pepper, and cayenne to the bowl. Mix thoroughly with your hands. Scoop the mixture into 18 balls using a tablespoon sized scoop if possible.
- Thread the meatballs onto metal skewers, then place the skewers on a baking sheet (flatten the meatballs slightly). Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- When ready to cook, preheat an outdoor grill to medium high heat and oil the grates. Place the kebabs on the grates and close the lid. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side. Serve on bread with tzatziki sauce and additional chopped parsley.
