Roasted Turkey Legs

Ingredients
FOR THE SEASONING:
1 tablespoon Dried oregano
1 tablespoon Dried parsley
1/2 tablespoon Garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon Sweet paprika
1 teaspoon Cayenne
1 teaspoon Brown sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
Zest from 1 lemon
FOR THE TURKEY:
3 1/2 pounds Turkey legs
AND Turkey thigh portions
3 tablespoons Olive oil
1 Onion (preferably red, sliced into rounds)
A few sprigs of fresh rosemary
1 Lemon (sliced into rounds)

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix all of the ingredients in the "seasoning" section together. Rub the turkey legs & thighs with the olive oil, then rub the turkey pieces with the spice mixture on both sides.
  2. Line a roasting tin with baking paper or foil, then spread the onion & lemon rounds and the rosemary across the pan. Place the turkey pieces on top with the skin side down, then roast for 30 minutes. Turn the turkey pieces over, then roast for 40 more minutes.
  3. Let the turkey rest while loosely covered in foil for 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
