Cajun-Style Blackened Snapper

Ingredients
2 tablespoons Paprika
1 tablespoon Salt
2 teaspoons Onion powder
2 teaspoons Garlic powder
2 teaspoons Cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons White pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons Black pepper
1 teaspoon Dried thyme
1 teaspoon Dried oregano
4 6 ounce Red snapper fillets
1 1/2 cups Butter (melted)
Broccoli (as a side, if desired)
Asparagus (as a side, if desired)
Brussels Sprouts (as a side, if desired)
Rice (as a side, if desired)

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Mix all of the spices and herbs together in a bowl.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat for 10 minutes. Dip the snapper fillets into the butter and generously sprinkle each side with spice mixture.
  3. Put the fillets into the skillet and pour 1 tablespoon of butter over each one.
  4. Cook the fillets for 3 to 5 minutes, turn them over and spoon 1 tablespoon of butter over each one again and cook them for 2 more minutes.
  5. Serve the snapper with rice and vegetables of choice.
