Serves: 6

Ingredients
4 tablespoons Butter
1 large Onion (minced)
1/3 cup Celery (minced)
1/4 cup Carrots (finely chopped)
1 tablespoon Flour
1/8 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon Dill
6 cups Water
3 cubes Chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3 cups Potatoes (cubed)
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
1 1/2 cups Milk
OR cream
6 ounces Crab meat
6.5 ounces Clam meat (chopped)
If desired, shrimp

Step by Step Instructions
  1. To clean the clams: Discard any with chipped shells. Put the clams into a bowl and add enough water to cover. After the clams soak, discard the water and gently scrub the clams with a soft brush. Once they are clean, shuck the clams.
  2. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the onions, celery, and carrots and cook stirring until they have softened.
  3. Stir the flour, red pepper flakes, dill weed into the veggie mix. Once combined, mix in water, bouillon cubes, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Add the potatoes and pepper, then cook for about 10 minutes. Add the milk or cream, crab meat, clam meat, and (if using) the shrimp. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
