Sliced Fried Okra

Ingredients
1 lb. cut okra in 1/2 inch slices
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup vegetable oil

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Cook okra in 1 cup water and 1/2 tsp. salt about 10 minutes
  2. mix cornmeal, salt, and pepper.
  3. Toss okra cornmeal mixture until okra is completely coated.
  4. Heat oil
  5. cook and stir okra in oil until brown
