BUY LOCAL ~ Know your Farmer!

DeForest, WI:  Market hours today

Just a reminder that the hours of the market have now changed to 4-6pm to give the farmers a little more time to harvest.

If you didn’t get an order in this week, you can still show up and purchase from what is available.

Joyful Noise Acres Farm:  The market is open for orders.

Good morning friends. The market is open for ordering and the goodies abound. We have a new supply of ground lamb, ground beef and chuck roasts in the freezer. We also have baby back and spare ribs in the freezer.
We are mostly sold out of cheese but do have a 5 lb block of cheddar cheese if you want to freeze some for later use. I grate it and freeze it loose then bag it after it freezes.
The laying hens have really slowed down so no eggs are listed on the market. They will be processed on the 24th. If you have any laying hens that aren’t laying and you don’t want to process them, let me know and we will try to help you out.
Several of you have asked about getting the jars to Cherokee Market after our market closes. Continue to bring your jars here and I will take them to cherokee market after we close. I will finish working out the details with Lisa as to where you are to leave your jars and where to pick up the milk in her store. I am so thankful she is willing to do this so we can keep getting our wonderful milk.

Blessing to all, see you Wednesday,
Mary Beth

Republican Valley Produce:  The market is open, sorry for the delay.

With everything going on this week, I completely forgot about opening the market, 12 hours late is better than never! I will keep it open until noonish on Sunday, if that will help anyone out.

It is really busy here on the farm, out with the old, in with the new. That is my motto! I have prepped the ground for another 1000 seedlings, but I need to get them in the ground. This is inside our biggest high tunnel, but it needs to happen soon. I also need to start putting up low tunnels. We are going to have over 400 feet of low tunnels this winter. They were so successful last year, I decided to try a few new crops in them. I still am picking lots of peppers from outside and the inside ones are loaded too. We need to finish digging the remaining 400 feet of sweet potatoes, plant garlic, move high tunnels and get the winter root vegetables harvested and put away for winter sales. Oh throw in 2 more cross country meets for our oldest and my plans are made!

We are adding lettuce back in this week. It is really good. It is some of the best we have had. Kale, collard greens and swiss chard are great. Napa cabbage will be ready in a few weeks.

Please keep those orders coming in and we will happily get them filled and delivered.

Thanks,

Jay and Linda

Champaign, OH:  Into The Mystic

I wanna rock your gypsy soul…
Just like way back in the days of old…
Then magnificently we will float…
Into the mystic…
(Into The Mystic-Van Morrison)

Hello, little market of love customers…I am here to open the market for the week, to bring to you the best products, the best growers, producers, and market in the county!

I hope that this week finds your ready to order, ready to let us do the work, and ready to keep it all real…keep it all local.

This has been a hard couple of days for your market manager. I lost one of my dearest friends, in a very unexpected way. I am urging you all to go out, show some love, love something or someone like you will never love, again. Look around, take note of the important things, and leave the rest behind.

Be someone’s love light, always…

I leave you as I open the market, I look forward to seeing your smiling faces, next week, at order pickup, and once again, I want to thank you for supporting this market, and for showing us the love, each and every week…

Peace, Love, Good Vibes…
Cosmic Pam
