Martin's Farmstand: U- Pick Raspberries
Hello!
Our regular store hours are 10am to 6pm Tuesday through Saturday.
The red and black raspberries are abundant in the patch. This week is peak season for black raspberries. We are picking all the time to try and keep the stand stocked and orders filled. With significant rain on the horizon Wednesday all the berries that are ripe now have to be picked before the rain or they will be lost.
We have a special that we are offering to u-pickers:
TUESDAY 7/9/24 and WEDNESDAY 7/10/24 during stand hours, if you pick and buy 10 pints of raspberries then you can pick 10 pints more for free! Anything 10 pints or under is regular priced.
Which looks like:
1 Pint Raspberries= $3.00
10 Pints Raspberries= $30.00
20 Pints Raspberries= $30.00
Come on and pick while the picking is good!
Besides raspberries we have lots of other goodies like broccoli, cauliflower, zuchinni, summer squash, cucumbers, many lettuces, garlic scapes, various herbs and more.
Blueberries are ripening also. Luke Martin (Daniel’s Dad) is offering organic u-pick blueberries this year at his farm located at 156 Newton Road Potsdam, NY (Newton road is just north of Parishville.) The bushes are getting blue and they are loaded so heavy the branches are bending low. If you want to pick call Luke and Rachel @315 265 8099 to find the next picking times. His picked blueberries are also for sale at the farmstand.
We look forward to seeing you.

Lathemtown Farm Fresh Market: This Week at the Market
We are back this week with some delicious option with ingredients from the farm. Tomatoes are coming in, okra, beans, cucumbers, eggplant, and lots of herbs. The chickens have slowed down on laying in the heat and we’ve had a few predators we have been battling so we are down several hens. Eggs will be a bit scarce for a while.
This week my grandson, Bo, goes in for surgery. Prayers appreciated for a successful procedure!!
Thanks for supporting our farm!

Grumpy Goat: Kreppel Time!
This is just a shout out that if you want to pick up kreppels this Tuesday at the farm store get your order into Jenn sometime tonight or tomorrow (hotplate.com/jennsbackstube). If you haven’t tried them yet, they are delicious. And it is a holiday weekend so you deserve to treat yourself!
Also for those that didn’t make it into the store last week to see we have: cabbages, tomatoes, leeks, onions, kale, chard, broccoli, zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, and probably lots more.
My brain is a bit fried today though so I’m blanking on the rest of our goodies! We just got in from harvesting the last four varieties of garlic – we’ve probably harvested about 2500 heads this week. We’ll have some fresh garlic available this week though most of it will be drying in the barn for a couple weeks before we start to prep it for the market!Foothills Market: The Market Is Open! You can also choose from sweet or savory baked goods for everything from breakfast to dessert. Shop between now and Wednesday afternoon at 5:00, when the market closes.
